Waytale

The Waytale Project

The Waytale project provides spatially organised ways to interact online.

Meet people, engage with the space, explore other people’s spaces.

Design a space yourself, customise, and extend.

What if online spaces would better support what we want to do and how we interact with others?

Let’s put the spatiality back into digital spaces! Are you there?

What you can do with it

Waytale is a platform that allows you to do multiple things!

USE

Navigate spaces. Meet people. Engage with gadgets. Explore linked spaces.

OWN

Own a personal space. Publish things you made. Invite friends. Host events.

MAKE

Create your own space. Design every detail. Link to friend’s spaces. Make art.

Work in progress notice: The project is being actively developed and still young! While a lot of work happens in the OWN and MAKE departments, not all features are there yet. Please be patient and check back often. 😉

Own your space

The Waytale projects is strongly driven by human-centric values.

Waytale allows you to self-host a personal instance, only requiring minimal technical knowledge and without cost. You stay in control of your data and who to federate with using modern peer-to-peer technology. Share what you know, empower others, and form communities!

Learn more

Waytale is structured into several sub-projects. Read more in the Outline.
